Training for the Future is a utopian training camp where audiences are turned into trainees to pre-enact alternative scenarios and reclaim the means of production of the future. Due to the coronavirus pandemic the 2021 edition had a decentralized form, with trainings taking place in parallel across the world: acting collectively, even when apart.
The 2021 Training for the Future program consisted of: A Post-Pandemic Errorist Training by Etcétera; Open the Hole so the World gets inside
by House of Tupamaras; Start in a Place Together by Savitri D, Reverend Billy & The Stop Shopping Choir; Draft for a Manual on Collective Work by UGATLahi Art Collective and Concerned Artists of the Philippines; AncientFutures by Zayaan Khan; Communal Cinema of the Future-Past by Rojava Film Commune, Pargîn chapter; Sindacati Mediterranei by Lorenzo Marsili & Studio Rizoma; Within And Against Utopia: Commoning Art Institutions by S.a.L.E.
